Our Sincere Invitation

The Ullambana Celebration will be held on 22 August 2010 (Sunday) at 11am at The Mahaprajna Buddhist Society.  It is a good opportunity to practice filial piety by transferring the merits of venerating the Buddha and making offerings to the Sangha at this religious ceremony to our ancestors.

2011 Sunday Children’s Dharma Class

Plant the seeds of Dharma in your children to nurture in them wholesome values that will benefit their body and mind. 
Each class (K1 to Sec 4) is limited to 30 students.  The classes will commence on 2 January 2011 from 10am to 12pm (Youth’s Dharma Class) and from 2pm to 4pm (Children’s Dharma Class).

Closing date for registration: 30 November 2010

Taking the Three Refuges & Five Precepts

The Three Refuges & Five Precepts Ceremony will be held at 1.30pm on the same day. Please register early if you are interested in taking the Three Refuges and/or Five Precepts. Those who are taking the Five Precepts, please attend a demonstration on wearing the “Pata” on 15 Aug 2010 (Sun) from 12pm to 1pm at TMBS. For the actual Five Precepts Ceremony, participants must prepare their own black robes and “Pata”.
