TMBS Library holds a collection of more than 9,000 items in Chinese and English languages. Besides books, there are also collections of monographs, serials, audio and visual materials.
The library is opened to the public. |
Making a Loan Transaction
| 1) | Please use the library card to make a loan transaction. |
| 2) | Your library card will be kept by us until the item is returned to the library. |
| 3) | Children's library cards can only be used to borrow children's books. |
| 4) | Any item with yellow stickers is for reference only and is not available for loan. |
| 5) | Each library card can be used to borrow one item. Audio or visual materials can be loaned for a week; books can be loaned for three weeks. |
| 6) | Renewal can only be done at the library. |
| 7) | Library cards are non-transferable. |
| 8) | Please report to the library if you lose you library card. |
| 9) | Please bring along your identity card to the library for updates if your address or phone number is changed. |
Applications for Library Cards
| 1) | You should either be a Singaporean or a Permanent Resident. Foreigners will require a guarantor who is a Singaporean or a Permanent Resident. Please bring along your guarantor's identity card for validation when submitting your applicaion. |
| 2) | Please submit your completed application form to the front desk of our library and bring along your identity card for verification and the S$2 application fee. |
| 3) | The Library's duty personnel will contact you for collection when the new library cards are ready. Cards that are not collected will be void after 2 months. |
| 4) | You will be issued with two library cards. |
| 5) | The applicant for the Children's library cards should be between 5 and 15 years old, and requires a parent or a legal guardian as the guarantor. |
